Slams of the Non-Rhetorical Variety

Let's preface this post by saying we're not into violence in elections. However, something this funny (and we know its funny only because we know no one was permanently hurt) comes along but so often.

The Durham Herald-Sun's police roundup reports on post-debate festivities in Carrboro. You must read this police report. Seriously, if you only read one police report this fall, this must be it. Here, we'll give you a teaser, but read the whole thing, because it gets better.

CARRBORO -- After watching the presidential debate Thursday night, two UNC students ended up slapping each other while fighting over who Jesus would vote for in the election.

We here at BlueNC are all about full disclosure (unless its something bad about us). In that vein, we should tell you that one of the partisans, R. Brooks Rollins, AKA The Congressman, used to live with us. We're also able to report that Rollins entered the fray on the side of Senator Kerry, and that his blow to the other gentleman was inaccurately described as a "slap." It was more of an open-handed blow with the palm and, we're assured, very manly.
